Flooring Designer

Designer leads and provides a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. Responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Consultations take place in the store and in the customer's home.

Essential Functions
Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers in the industry
Greet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needs
Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store
Providing tile, wood, vinyl, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.
Design, measure, layout and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
Enthusiastically support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)
Limited travel may be required by car
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to construction jobsite conditions as well as a warehouse environment with moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements
Medium Work - Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
