Assistant/ Associate Professor, Emergency Radiology
Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting for a position in the Section of Emergency Radiology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Texas Medical center, one of the largest medical centers in the US.
The position is ideal for work/life balance, covering overnight shifts on a schedule of 7 nights on duty followed by 14 nights off. Responsibility is for covering inpatient and emergency services at Ben Taub General Hospital (one of two Level 1 trauma centers in Houston). Faculty are offered flexibility with both on-site and home reading options. Exams are typically reviewed and preliminarily dictated by the on-call radiology residents. The Emergency Radiology faculty members provide feedback and education to Baylor radiology residents and are encouraged to participate in departmental lectures, case review sessions, and research mentorship.
Training and/or experience in general body imaging is required, but a willingness to interpret emergent neuroimaging procedures is a plus. The position does not require interventional responsibilities. There are ample opportunities for moonlighting within or outside of the BCM radiology department during non-clinical time.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO (or equivalent) degree, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology, and meet the requirements for full and unrestricted licensure in the State of Texas.
