Marketing Manager
Vibrant, award-winning national architectural firm seeks an organized, talented and dedicated team player to join our energetic marketing team in our Milwaukee office. Our ideal candidate has a passion for design and welcomes the opportunity to help advance the Engberg Anderson brand as we continue to grow and expand our markets and our reach. We are looking for someone comfortable being on a team, but also able to work independently, taking responsibility for organizing, leading, and assisting with critical marketing pursuits.
The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, professional, and possess good communication skills and a strong work ethic. Desired skills include strong writing and editing skills, with an attention to detail and consistency. Daily work will require proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and WordPress, as well as use of our CRM tracking database. Tasks will include management of overall team workload and scheduling, proposal creation, writing and editing, and some social media support. Range of responsibilities may also include photography coordination, award submissions, assistance in creation of new marketing materials, and conference planning. 2-3+ years of practical and related experience, as well as Marketing, Communications, or Business degrees preferred.

Our Business Development and Marketing Team is expected to work in cooperation with our Ownership group to drive strategic development, spearhead growth in existing and new business markets, seek and connect with potential clientele, provide and coordinate presentations and assist in the production of proposals, collateral and other materials needed to pursue project opportunities. The successful candidate for a position on this team will possess these qualifications:
Experience:
- 2-3 or more years of positions in marketing or business, preferably in a similar (A/E/C) industry, with a focus on proposal production, writing, editing, proof-reading, and marketing organization and support.
- Experience organizing and executing marketing activities and coordinating with and supporting professional marketing and graphics staff and Ownership.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism or Business, or a related field is required.
Ideal Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics:
- Experience with text and graphic production tools including Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity and skill in writing and research, including PR, written communication and market research.
- Strong and effective communicator and writer with a clear attention to detail.
- Strong graphic sense, particularly in relation to layout and organization, consistency, and application of standards.
- Well-developed and demonstrated managerial and teamwork skills.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple and overlapping project deadlines, as well as last minute and time-sensitive requests.
- Ability to coordinate with the efforts of changing teams of diverse and creative employees.
- Commitment to continuous learning and continuous improvement for both the individual and for the Marketing team.
- Some experience in Internet and social media strategy and technology a plus.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in holding conversations with customers and industry partners, and in collaborating with the later in service of project goals.
- Ability to work independently, and also in a collaborative, team-supporting environment.
- Ability to work in an environment of frequent change and surprises.
- Experience working in a midsized, flexible and employee-empowering work environment.
- Familiarity with Sharepoint and similar tools a plus.
- Ability to organize and track data related to marketing efforts and results.
- Managing media and interfacing with external PR agencies.
