Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The part-time Curriculum Development position is responsible for a full range of learning and development of course material. Conducts needs assessments, designs and develops curriculums/instructional plans, evaluates training programs for effectiveness, and provides consultation for a broad array of learning and development issues. This is a temporary grant-funded position. Continuation of the position from one academic year to the next is dependent upon continued grant-funding.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
·Master's Degree in related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Teaching experience in a higher education setting
Salary
Hourly Pay Rate is $32.94

- Designs and develops course curricula and related content and materials
- Oversees development of curricula or programs by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in support of an assigned functional area
- Conducts complex needs assessments and provides on-going analysis of learning programs
- Evaluates training programs or curricula for effectiveness and desired outcomes
- Develops strategic plans for development of training curricula, professional development and technical programs
- Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
- Strong organizational, coordination, and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Mastery of course content
- Demonstrated leadership skills; style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation

- Equipment used includes PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
