Forklift Driver
2nd Shift
Department: Injection / Blow Mold / Warehouse
Retention bonus of $740 paid out over six months. Starting wage range $14-$15 depending on experience.
Hours are 6:30pm 6:30 am. Does require weekends and holidays.
Full benefits, including vacation, after 60 days.

Summary
Loads, unloads, and moves materials used in the production of plastic containers. Removes finished goods from designated staging area for placement in stacked rows of warehouse or trailer as to shipping clerks instructions. Supplies respective department with the raw materials needed to complete production requirements. Gives breaks in production department as required. Participates in physical inventory activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Reads work orders or follows instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
Can demonstrate the safe operation of a lift truck and possess a valid tow motor license.
Moves materials from storage or work site to designated area.
Stacks finished product neatly in warehouse with no damage and ensure good housekeeping practices as directed by the warehouse lead shippers.
Empties trash cans and dumpster daily in respective departments.
Ensures that all fork lift PM's are filled out daily and that the equipment is in proper working condition.
Participates in the segregation and identification of non-conforming product.
Works with injection packer to ensure smooth flow of finished product.
Relieves personel for breaks as required.
Covers opposite shift vacations.
Will occasionally unload trailers or load trailers that go directly to customers as needed
Keeps informed of the latest OSHA and related safety procedures for the proper
operating of the forklift.
Follows all known safety procedures for the safe handling of the propane used to fuel forklift.
Operates tow motor or forklift to assist in loading materials and products.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D.; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and convey instructions or information.
Ability to perform simple math functions.
Ability to use units of weight measurement, volume, and size.
Ability to use simply common sense in carrying out simple instructions.
Attention to detail
Organizational skills

Lift truck license required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles released from the forklift, some raw materials stored in the warehouse are listed as mildly hazardous. The noise level in work environment is moderate. This is a warehouse and although the work is in doors the warehouse is not climate controlled. The employee will also be exposed to the vibration of the forklift while riding it. There is no suspension system on a forklift to speak of.
