Job Summary/Basic Function

The School of Concrete and Construction Management at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#112160) at the rank of lecturer. This is a one-year temporary appointment with a possible annual renewal for up to three years. This is an on-campus position. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2024.

The successful applicant is expected to teach students in accordance with the university mission, collaborate with faculty and students in the school, and interact with construction industry organizations and individuals. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated background and be prepared to teach in some of the following areas: Construction Materials and Methods, Estimating and Cost Controls, Construction Safety, Quality Control, Plan Reading, Construction Technology, Mechanical & Electrical Systems, Estimating, Project Management, and Field Supervision. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will support collaborative partnerships between the School of Concrete and Construction Management, student organizations, business, industry, and government.

Required Education

A master's degree in construction management or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.

Required Related Experience

Three (3) years of full-time construction industry experience is required by the appointment date.
