RVHCI is looking for a Physical Therapist who’s bright and personable, knows how to adhere to policies, is extremely dependable and excited about learning. 

At RVHCI, you’ll learn all regulatory requirements during your first 4-hour onboarding session. There’s no read-through of our 500-page binder, but rather a dynamic learning environment where you gain hands-on skills. Every policy is documented and available, but we’re not about checking boxes. We want you to see the bigger picture and get down to caring for patients.

Your day-to-day involves providing physical therapy services to clients in their home, developing care plans, and providing safe, appropriate care through case management.

You’ll be evaluating clients as appropriate, communicating with all members of the team, regularly re-evaluating the client's in-home physical therapy needs and providing substantial and specialized care.

Your client loads stay the same, you get to set your own hours and tap into your Director of Nursing at any time for personalized assistance.

Qualifications

Applicants must: 

  • Be registered as a Physical Therapist with the Board of Medical Practice.
  • Have a physical therapy degree from an accredited organization.
  • Be proficient in principles and practices of physical therapy.
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise independent judgment and communicate well.
  • Be adaptable to environments and inclement weather conditions.
  • Exhibit professional behavior in action and appearance.
  • Be of good physical and mental health, including current TB testing
  • Handle moderate to heavy lifting for client care.
  • Maintain U.S. Citizenship or a valid Alien Work Permit.

 Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate clinical record of client visits, weekly.
  • Perform physical therapy procedures, evaluations and diagnostic tests.
  • Evaluate client’s level of function, working with RN Case Manager.
  • Provide continuity of care, working with attending physicians and other health care officials.
  • Instruct clients, staff and family members on treatment procedures.
  • Translate all exercises into functional activities or activities of daily living.
  • Develop plans to modify equipment, appliances and physical surroundings in client’s home.
  • Complete in-service program.
