JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Retread Technician
Department: Retread Shop Reports To: Shop Foreman
Job Type: Non-Exempt Date Prepared: 03/14/2002
Summary: Ability to produce a high-quality retread by performing specific retreading tasks, as assigned, per
Michelin specifications and time standards. The person who takes the job must be quality and safety oriented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 High quality workmanship, keep supervisor informed of production problems as they occur
 General maintenance of specifically assigned equipment and area, in a safe, clean and workable manner
 Training of personnel in specific area as assigned by supervisor
 Skills to be improved and developed as required
 Must be team oriented and goal oriented
 Must have some mechanical ability and able to work with hand tools
 Must be willing to be cross trained in all areas of production

Education and/or Experience: Must be able to complete Michelin In-House Training Program. STTC will train.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of STTC.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral
or diagram form.
Computer Skills: Ability to use computer. Training will be provided as needed.

Dress Code: Uniforms are provided by Service Tire Truck Centers at a reasonable cost and must remain clean and
free from holes or tears. Present a well-groomed and professional appearance to STTC customers.
