Job Description
Assumes responsibility for the completion of administrative support duties which directly impact students' graduation, including the awarding of degrees, from the University of Hartford. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Description of Key Responsibility: Reviews and processes submitted degree applications, and generates reports, in accordance with established policies and procedures in an effort to ensure accuracy and integrity of information. Cross-references generated reports with diplomas to ensure all applications for graduation have been processed and completed. Prepares diplomas for distribution.


Description of Key Responsibility: Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with academic evaluators. Meets with academic evaluators prior to the graduation period to determine the graduation status of applicants. Prepares and maintains comprehensive degree files, making corrections as necessary and appropriate. Provides degree application listings to collegiate academic evaluators for review prior to the graduation period.


Description of Key Responsibility: Utilizes the degree applicant database to produce diploma orders, listings of graduates for the period and other reports. Reviews and verifies orders and reports for accuracy. Processes Common Applications as necessary and appropriate.


Description of Key Responsibility: Prepares congratulatory letters and other information graduation related documents for distribution to all graduates for the graduation period. Prepares invitation letters for international students and guests.


Description of Key Responsibility: Proofreads Commencement Book to verify all graduates’ names and degrees are listed accurately. Follows appropriate procedures to make corrections, if necessary.


Description of Key Responsibility: Coordinates online cap and gown orders and works in collaboration with the Office of Communications and Marketing to post graduation related information via the University’s website. Reviews the information posted for accuracy and completeness making changes as necessary and appropriate.


Description of Key Responsibility: Provides quality customer service to internal and external constituencies, answering phone calls, emails and visitors inquiring about commencement, academic and Bursar releases of diplomas, and other vendor-related questions. Orders unofficial transcripts.


Description of Key Responsibility: Performs other related duties as assigned.



Formal Education:
Associate’s Degree preferred or higher education experience.
