Neuromuscular Specialist

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center are recruiting a neuromuscular/EMG specialist. The main clinical responsibilities are outpatient neuromuscular diseases, EMG, and teaching residents and clinical neurophysiology fellows. There is ample opportunity for clinical research. We have an MDA clinic and MDS-ALS Center, a full array of electrodiagnostic services including autonomic testing as well as neuromuscular ultrasound and neuromuscular pathology. The department has an extensive referral network and ongoing research programs in ALS, muscular dystrophies, myasthenia gravis, and familial amyloidosis.

Candidates should be certified or eligible for certification for “Added Qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology” or Neuromuscular Medicine. Candidates should have a medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, Board Certified or board eligible in Neuromuscular Neurology fellowship training or foreign equivalent and have clinical interest and expertise in Neuromuscular medicine.
